Robins Federal Credit Union’s Donation/Sponsorship Policy

It is Robins Federal Credit Union’s objective to promote credit union involvement and to
utilize budgeted financial resources, whenever possible, within Robins Federal Credit union’s community charter area. All organizations requesting a donation must meet the primary requirement that their fundraising efforts benefit a charitable cause. All sponsorship requests will create positive public relations recognition of the Credit Union and should support the development of/or benefit the community as a whole. The 16 County Community Charter area includes the following counties: Bibb, Baldwin, Clarke, Crawford, Emanuel, Houston, Jones, Macon, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Taylor, Telfair, Twiggs, and Wilkinson.

All of the events, which receive support from Robins Federal Credit Union, must be
significant to membership and most importantly the community. We receive dozens
of requests each month and must decide in a fair and unbiased manner which events
Robins will sponsor.

Criteria for consideration of requests:

The purpose for which a donation is requested must benefit a charitable cause.

Organizations requesting a donation must qualify as a non-profit/tax exempt organization
under Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; or organizations that are tax exempt
under 501c(3), if it operates primarily to promote and develop credit unions.

The purpose for which a sponsorship is requested must create a positive image in the community.

The sponsorship should support the development of and/or benefit the community as
a whole.

The sponsorship creates positive public relations recognition of the Credit Union.

A donation/sponsorship to an organization will only be considered once during a
calendar year.

Donations/sponsorships are not be made to:
   1. Individuals
   2. Political candidates
   3. Individual ball teams or smaller sports organizations that do not benefit a large segment of the community.
