Q.

What is a safecode and what is its purpose?

A.

A safecode is word that you create and can easily recognize in a list of random words. Your safecode is not password per se; it is simply a verification tool. While safecodes add extra security from unauthorized access to online banking, the main purpose of the safecode is to verify to you that you are at our web site, not a fake web site. If your safecode does not appear in the Safety Stamp you must login through Safe2Login before you can enter your online banking login information. This helps prevent you from mistakenly entering your online banking login information while at  a fraudulent web site.

Q.

When I try to sign up for Safe2Login it says that my email address is already registered?

A.

There may be a couple of reasons that you get this message. The most common reasons are shared email addresses and incomplete registrations. Once you have completed step 1 of the Safe2Login registration process, your account is set up but not yet activated. If you do not activate the account immediately, you will have to login using your email address and Safe2Login password to under the "Already Registered" in order to complete the process later.

Another reason you may receive this message is because someone else has used the email address to register with Safe2Login. This happens when the email address in question is shared by two or more people. Do you share an email address with someone such as your spouse or child? Click here.

Q.

I have not received my activation code via email?

A.

We have experienced several cases in which activation codes were returned undeliverable to hotmail email addresses. If you have a hotmail email address and have not received your activation code, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@robinsfcu.org to request a new activation code.

Q.

Are my Safe2Login password and Online Banking password the same?

A.

No. Your Safe2Login password created during the Safe2Login registration process. It is suggested that the password you create at that time be different from online banking password. There are several distinctions between the two passwords as listed below:

  • Your Safe2Login password is only used to access your Safe2Login account to change your email address, computer nick names, the password itself, or your safecode.
  • You may request a temporary Safe2Login password online without contacting RFCU.
  • Your online banking password is only used to access your online banking account.
  • You must call RFCU or stop by your local branch in order to request a new online banking password. You may not request a new password online at this time.

Q.

My spouse and I share the same email address. She has already registered with Safe2Login using this email address, how do I register with Safe2Login?

A.

If you share an email address with someone we suggest that you share the Safe2Login information. Your online banking login information will remain separate.

For example, if you and your wife share an email address, and she has already registered with Safe2Login with that address, there is no need for you to re-register. You will share with your wife the Safe2Login registration information: email address, password and safe code. When logging in using Safe2Login you will choose the safecode from the list to enable the online banking login fields and then enter your account number and online banking password. When your wife is logging in, she will choose the same safe code, but enter her account number and online banking password.

In order to have your own Safe2Login password and safe code you will need a separate email address.
