Arrest in the Theft of Credit and Debit Card Numbers

A hot topic in the news is the arrest in the theft and sale of more than 40 million credit and debit card numbers stolen from 9 major U.S. Retailers. If your Robins Federal Credit Union VISA debit or credit card was one of the card numbers in jeopardy, you would have received a letter from Robins Federal stating that the card in question would be blocked and you would have been issued a new card. Only a small number of Robins Federal cards were affected by this incident. This was an extra safety measure we put into place to protect our members against potential fraud and/or identity theft.
