We are proud to introduce new contactless chip cards with increased security for your Robins Financial Credit Union Visa® debit and credit cards.

What are contactless cards?

Contactless cards are equipped with new secure technology that allows you to make payments without inserting your card at payment terminals.

How do contactless payments work?

Contactless transactions are made by simply tapping your contactless chip card on a contactless payment terminal or holding your card near the contactless-enabled reader. This is also known as “tap to pay.” If you have payment-enabled mobile or wearable devices, such as digital wallet enabled on your smartphone or smartwatch, you can also tap to pay with your devices. Contactless checkout is secure, convenient, and touch-free.

How do I know if my card or device can make contactless payments?

• Contactless Chip Cards

  If your debit or credit card has the Contactless Indicator  on either the front or back side of the card, you can use your card to perform contactless payments anywhere you see the Contactless Symbol  at checkout at many of your favorite stores.

• Devices

  If you don’t have a contactless chip card yet, you can still tap to pay using your devices! Simply add an eligible payment card to your payment-enabled phone or wearable device’s digital wallet, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

Where can I make contactless payments?

Tap to pay is available at many of your favorite merchants, including retail stores, grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, coffee shops, vending machines, and many other businesses. Now you can pay with just a tap and avoid contact with high-touch surfaces at checkout!
