Online Banking Security

The way the internet works is constantly changing, so is the way fraudsters are trying to take advantage of consumers online. It is our goal to ensure the safest and most secure methods available for our members to conduct business online. Because of this, we are beginning a new online security initiative encouraging members to update the login credentials for online banking on a regular basis.

More and more big name companies are coming under attack for login credentials and personal identifiable information. If you use the same email or login with any big name sites that you do with your financial institution then you are likely putting yourself at risk for fraudulent activity.

It is highly recommended that you keep different logins and passwords for different websites and applications that you use. While this will not be a forced change at this time, we do want to encourage everyone to follow the current best practices for online security. It is our recommendation that your Login ID’s and passwords are:

  • Unique – something you only use to login to your accounts here, not any other website that you use.
  • Complex – containing a variation of letters, numbers, and special characters, and preferably something that is not easily replicated like a name, readable word, or email address
  • Updated regularly – pick a frequency that works best for you. Just change them.

Here's how to change your Login ID easily with Robins Financial Credit Union:

1. Log into your Robins FCU online banking or mobile application using your current login ID and password.
2. Select Self-Service Options in the left-hand menu, and then select Security Preferences in the drop-down menu.

3. Select Change Login ID.
4. On the next screen type in a new login ID. Remember: make it unique and complex. Your new Login ID can be between 6 and 30 characters.

5. Click on or select Save new Login ID.

Changing your login ID will not change your existing password.

If you run into any issues while changing your Login ID or password, we’d be happy to assist you. As fraud continues to rise and technology continues to change, we all can do our part to help protect ourselves and our credit union from these unnecessary risks. Also, rest assured that Robins Financial is doing everything possible to keep you safe and secure online.
